Sujit Choudhry is an eminent expert and speaker on the constitution. He was recently invited to a workshop in Ukraine to provide his opinion about its administrative system and its current problems. The meeting was hosted by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance in conjunction with the the Center of Policy and Legal Reform. Sujit Choudhry explained at this convention that Ukraine’s shift to democracy has been a turbulent experience, because of many reasons such as a lack of strong political candidates, problems with the election system of legal bodies, the centering of power and division of functions between the top members of the country’s administration.

Choudhry heads the Center of Constitutional transitions at Berkeley, California. He was former dean at the University of California and currently holds the post of I.
